So many things to consider today that we did not consider in the past. I look around me here in the city and recall those childhood days in the small rural village where I grew up with a large garden out back, wild meat in the freezer and a playground with a 5-mile radius around the village. In my teens, I could not wait to leave; not in my 70s. I long for that simple way of life. Stay safe, my friend, and keep enjoying all the serenity that surrounds you.

..regarding the new construction / roads happening, Im sure you have some natural quad/ ski-doo trails on/ around your property..and if any cross your road..or even any of the new roads under construction?...just as a precaution you may wanna clear up..(extend if at all possible?) existing trails so if needed, yas can evac on quad/ ski-doo or hike. Nope, you want those furry creatures to move on. They are dangerous, especially with a mother and 2 young ones. She will attack for no reason. It’s better to not give them any reason to stick around.

All these fires, smoke and heat is very trying. Keep a stiff upper lip. Everything change. Hopefully for the better. Take care you two.
