You are bringing automation to the wilderness. Great imagination and ingenuity on all fronts, and way to blend nature's beams and flooring into the aesthetic of the palace for your pets. Might find you sleeping in the barn and dining in the greenhouse!
Just watched your short but cute Q&A segment. I too live off grid and love most things about it. And I too get asked a lot of the same questions. Seems it is always about how do I wash up. And OMG i use an out house! Never seems to be the important questions that get asked. You post the how's and why's you do things you do. Which if someone is watching them you've for the most part already answered the questions that were asked. You live remote enough that electric is not feasible so an off grid lifestyle is a must. I salute the both of you for a job so far well done. My off grid is fully by choice. Why? The electric is available I just choose to not hook up to it. One question that should have been asked... Is it cheaper to live off grid? Well that answer would be no if one plans on using electricity. Can cost a lot to generate your own power. What I have done is eliminated the need as much as possible to require using anything that needs electricity. My only use is power tools on a small gas generator. I hand pump my water and heat it on the woodstove. I buy food that does not require freezing or refrigeration. I'd grow more but the deer and racoons get to it before me. lol. Charge my phone in the car and go on-line at work. Anybody interested in being fully off grid should learn to follow the Amish lifestyle. They bathe, cook, do laundry and live a full life being off grid. I enjoy the posts that i see of yours, keep them coming. Thankyou. :-)
Can't learn new things if one does not read and watch what others do. Your projects are fun to watch because a lot of the same dreams. Harder for me to do since I'm going it alone, one heck of a lot older side then you, very limited budget cause by a financial mistake made in the past. Then using old machinery that is usually broken. But with my moto... "3 boards a day" in X numbers of days, it will be done. Life is good and with a friend or two, Life is fun. Keep it up, enjoy :-)
